Mr. Vladimir Vulić, Digital Transformation Strategist, President of Digitalizuj.Me

Independent digital transformation strategist working with organisations both large and small on navigating the challenges and opportunities presented by the digital age. The Value of Investing in Healthcare 
Dr Thomas HofmarcherSwedish Institute for Health Economics

Dr. Thomas Hofmarcher is an Austrian health economist and research director at the Swedish Institute for Health Economics (IHE). He is an expert in the health economics of cancer, cancer care performance measurement, access to cancer medicines, and cancer policy.

His primary focus lies in the comparative analysis of cancer care systems around the world with a main focus on Europe. He has advised the European Commission and the OECD in their work with Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan, and he co-authored the OECD Country Cancer Profile 2025 for Sweden. He also created the basic structure and collected the data for the initial version of the European Cancer Pulse of the European Cancer Organisation.

The Value of Accessible and Affordable Innovative Medicines 
Luka Vončina, MD, PhD, Independent Consultant, The World Bank, Croatia

Associate Professor Luka Vončina, MD, PhD: over the last 15 years, Luka has worked in the fields of pharmaceutical policy, health economics and health financing as a researcher, policymaker, and consultant for international organizations (World Bank and World Health Organization) and industries in over 30 countries worldwide. He holds an MD degree from the Zagreb Medical School, a master’s degree in Health Policy from the London School of Economics, and a PhD degree in biomedicine from the Split Medical School. He has published extensively in international peer-reviewed journals.

Cancer Screening Programs
Prof. Vesna Zadnik, MD, PhD, Director of Slovenia Cancer Registry, Institute of Oncology Ljubljana, Slovenia

Prof. Vesna Zadnik, MD, PhD has been a public health specialist and a doctor of science in the field of epidemiology since 2006. She has been employed at the Institute of Oncology Ljubljana for more than 20 years. Since 2018, she serves as the head of the Epidemiology and Cancer Registry sector where she acts also as the director of the national population- based Slovenian Cancer Registry. She directs and carries out in-depth epidemiological analyses using the data of the national cancer registry and national clinical registries in order to provide evidence on cancer incidence, time series, spatial distributions, survival of cancer patients, quality of oncological care, effectiveness of cancer screening programs, etc. Currently, she leads Slovenian research programme for comprehensive cancer control financed by the Slovenian Research Agency and Slovenian Ministry of Health.

She was a member of several scientific and professional committees in Slovenia and abroad; among other she is currently serving as a European representative in BoD at the International Association of Cancer Registries and as a coordinator in cancer burden surveillance for the Executive Council of the Slovene National Cancer Control Plan 2022- 2026. For outstanding achievements in scientific research and development in 2021 prof. Zadnik received the Zois Prize, the highest state award in science.

Estonia: Digital tools for screening programmes
Dr Terje Peetso, Chief Medical Innovation Officer, North Estonia Medical Centre
 

Dr Terje Peetso is a Chief Medical Innovation Officer at the North Estonia Medical Centre in Tallinn. Among other tasks she is also responsible for the cooperation with other hospitals and clinical partners in Estonia and abroad.

Dr Peetso worked from 2003 – 2018 in the European Commission on digital health, tobacco control and risk assessment. Before joining the North Estonia Medical Centre, Peetso was the Head of Sector on eHealth and Ageing Policy in the European Commission`s DG CONNECT.   In 2014, she was the EU Fellow in the University of Southern California, USA, where her research focus was on the obstacles that hinder the introduction eHealth in healthcare systems. 2018 – 2023 Dr Peetso was a member of management board of the NEMC being responsible for R&D, training, client service and quality control. 

Dr Peetso holds a diploma in medicine from the University of Tartu, Estonia.

National Strategy for Health Data
Dr Tan Clive, Public Health Specialist & Health Sector Leader, Singapore

Dr Clive Tan is a medical doctor, Public Health specialist and health sector leader with two decades of clinical and leadership experience in the healthcare sector. He is currently working with Tan Tock Seng Hospital (part of NHG Health) and Ministry of Home Affairs, Singapore. He holds a MBBS from Singapore and a Masters in Public Health (MPH) from Johns Hopkins University. He is based in Singapore and a well-known and trusted professional within the health sector.

His area of work involves health service and programme planning using a strong population health approach, with a focus on precision public health, digital health, integrated care, behavioral change and care for the vulnerable and marginalized. His work also extends to the wider Asia region through both his professional work with WHO’s Western Pacific Regional Office, his network as a Senior Atlantic Fellow with the Equity Initiative programme, and his academic partnerships with regional universities. He publishes widely, speaks at regional and international conferences, and has been interviewed on radio and television for a wide range of health related topics. He also teaches the National University of Singapore’s School of Public Health and the Duke-NUS Centre of Regulatory Excellence, and consults for WHO in the areas of Digital Health, Population Health and Universal Health Coverage.

Mr. Troels Bierman Mortensen, Executive Director, DataFair, Denmark

Troels Bierman Mortensen is the Founder and CEO of DataFair, a Danish health‑data startup providing advanced epidemiological and health‑economic analyses. DataFair specializes in integrating and handling real‑world evidence from sources like the Danish National Patient Registry, clinical registries, and whole‑genome sequencing combined with patient-reported outcomes.

OSCAR (One Stop Shop for Clinical Research): Troels serves as both initiator and project manager. This ambitious platform aims to enable fast, secure, GDPR-friendly access to Danish health data for clinical research, personalized medicine, and outcome-based pricing agreements.

CLIC (Clinical Imaging Consortium): Acting as project manager, he also leads efforts to build a “One Stop Shop” data platform for developing, validating, and integrating image‑based AI solutions into the healthcare system—ensuring privacy compliance and robust infrastructure. A seasoned entrepreneur with over 25 years in biotech, medtech, healthcare IT, consulting, and development, Troels is a well-regarded voice on the value of transforming high-quality health data into actionable tools for innovation. At the LSX Nordics Congress (2024), he emphasized that while the Nordics do enjoy excellent access to health data, the real challenge lies in using that data—calling for experimentation, innovation, and shared risk to realize its full potential.

Digital Health Strategy for Montenegro
Ms. Dragana Janinović, Director General, Directorate for Digital Health, Ministry of Health Montenegro

Dragana Janinović is the general director of the Directorate for Digital Health in the Ministry of Health of Montenegro, where she leads key reforms aimed at digitizing the health system. Her involvement includes strategic planning and implementation of national digital health services, including the introduction of electronic health records and the application of modern technologies such as artificial intelligence and telemedicine. Before joining the public sector, Dragana built a career in the field of telecommunications, where she led digital transformation, e-commerce and user experience improvement projects for more than a decade. He also has extensive entrepreneurial experience in developing digital products and consulting organizations in the areas of IT, marketing and digital strategies. She graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of Montenegro, speaks English fluently and actively participates in regional and international initiatives in the field of digital health.
